Brain damage can be congenital or acquired. It affects people very individually – it depends on how comprehensive the damage is and which parts of the brain that have been damaged. Brain damages can be located in different parts of the brain or located to defined areas.

Tiredness, lower ability to take action proactively and a difficulty to take in vision and sound impressions are some of the possible effects of a brain damage. Some people who live with a brain damage get so called cognitive disabilities that affect abilities related to memory, concentration, learning and the capacity to orient oneself geographically.

Rehabilitation and training are set to improve the abilities that have been affected by the brain damage – like speak and language, memory, attention or movement.
