Read moreDraved syndrome got its named from the French child neurologist who described the syndrome for the first time in 1978. In 2001 a mutation in the gene SCN1A was discovered as one of the reasons for Dravet syndrome to emerge (this causes at least 80% of the Dravet syndrome cases).
The syndrome include difficult epileptical attacks and is often shown during the first year of life.
Dravet syndrome can also amount sensitivity of temperature, shakiness and a development disorder.
The 23th of June is Dravet Syndrome Awareness Day.
